MOMAN M65 - BEST BUDGET MONOPOD OF 2021
The Moman M65 monopod might just be the best value for money monopod on the market. For starters you're essentially getting a monopod and a mini tripod in one. The triple foot base is not only interchangeable with a spike or rubber foot but it also has a ¼” 20 screw mount which can be fitted with a tripod head or any other piece of equipment that accepts that mount. Furthermore the mount at the top of the Moman M65 monopod is reversible so the monopod can be mounted to the typical ¼” 20 tripod head or reversed to accommodate smaller accessories with ⅜” 16 screw mounts. There are positives and negatives to that reversible mount you can watch the video to find out more. The monopod is made of aluminum and has a slimmer tube than the standard monopod which makes it lighter than the standard tripod. I tested the monopod with an EOS R and a EF 300mm f2.8 L which is a pretty heavy combination. The monopod had a bit of flex in the pole but nothing that would dissuade me from using it. Overall it feels like a pretty solid design. In the video I go over various ways in which you can use a monopod from shooting sports events to creating jib shots. After using this Moman M65 monopod for a bit I think this might be one of the best budget lightweight monopods on the market for videographers and photographers. It’s very versatile and well built and should be a great addition to your camera bag no matter if you are an armature or professional.
