HOW TO UPDATE FIRMWARE ON THE CANON EOS R5
Welcome to this quick tutorial on how to update your Canon EOS R5 Firmware. This process will work for this new 1.1.0 firmware and all upcoming firmware for this camera. I don’t have an R6 but I assume this process also works for the Canon EOS R6 as well.
How to download and update your Canon R5 Firmware:
1- Set camera to P mode
2 - Download newest firmware
3 - Format SD card in camera
4 - Copy firmware to formatted card
5 - Put SD card into camera and install firmware
