CYBERPUNK 2077 INSPIRED EDIT
I’ve been feeling really inspired by the visuals coming out of Cyberpunk 2077 recently. It’s funny because I have very little interest in playing the game. To be honest I’m tired of shoot’em up games. You play one you’ve played them all. It’s all getting so repetitive to me but that being said the visuals in the game are fantastic. The creative directions taken in proposing a futuristic cityscape are really well done. I’ve been watching a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 game play on Twitch and it’s been inspiring me to add a little Cyber-ness to my creative flow.
I did a photoshoot with Vanessa Luis recently and the concept for this look was High contrast black and white shot against a white wall. I really loved the awkwardness of this pose. Vanessa’s left arm being hidden behind her is a posing no-no but the strangeness of the body shape was interesting to me. So I decided to get cyber with it by changing the background to the light blue and dust colours in Night City. I also added come chromatic aberration around the edges of Vanessa’s body followed by some multiplying. Than I sliced up the image in an improvised glitch effect to add more visual intrigue and strangeness to an already strange pose.
It was a fun little adventure. I think I might do some more edits in this vain just to explore this creative idea and see what it leads too.
