BUILDING MY FIRST PC: AMD 3900X RTX 2070 SUPER VIDEO EDITING BEAST
Hi internet friends welcome to my first ever computer build. I’ve been running a 5 year old Intel i5 / GTX 970 system. It’s treated me well over the years and even though it’s still more than enough for running photoshop my journey is taking me deeper and deeper into the world of video editing. I needed a computer that could handle more than just basic cut and render video projects. I want a computer that would allow me to explore video editing without being restricted by hardware. I also wanted the experience of building a computer myself. It’s something that I’ve wanted to learn how to do. That being said if you’re interested in building your own PC and want to learn from my mistakes this would be a great video for you. Special thanks to my friend Konstantine Papadakis for helping me out with this build.
*Update: I get a lot of questions about this build so rather than answering those same questions over and over again here is a list of all the parts in my computer including upgrades I have made since this video was published. Here is a photo of the setup as it looks now: https://vaskoobscura.com/blog/2021/2/11/youtube-studio-computer-desk

* If you buy the LG 43UN700-B and want to mount it on an arm the way I have in the picture above here is the link. I spent a lot of time trying to find an arm that can support the weight of this display and I’ve been using this one for almost a year now with no issue. The monitor is heavier on one side so I did have to secure the left right rotation so the monitor stays level.
