Asahi Super Multi Coated Takumar 55mm f1.8
If you're in the market for a high-quality vintage lens that won't break the bank, the Pentax 55mm f1.8 is definitely worth considering. While there are various versions of the Pentax 55mm f1.8, this particular model was only produced from 1972 to 1975. It features an M42 mount, weighs 201g and has a 49mm filter thread. With its fast f1.8 aperture, this lens is well-suited for low-light situations, and its 6-blade iris produces decent bokeh. Image sharpness is outstanding, and the lens has a minimum focus distance of 45cm. This lens also features a Super Multi Coating which reduces flaring and ghosting, and although the lens was designed for full-frame sensors, it can also be adapted to APS-C and M43 cameras with the right adapter. When used on an APS-C camera, the lens becomes an 88mm, which is perfect for portrait photography.
