Behold this candid moment, where I'm immersed in crafting proposals to elevate my YouTube channel—a snapshot of me living the YouTuber dream. The pandemic might have curtailed my freelance gigs as a photographer and videographer, but it catapulted me into being more of a content creatior.
In the ever-changing landscape of business, I've learned that stagnation is akin to sinking. To stay afloat, I've adapted, reinventing ways to turn my creativity into a sustainable income stream. Embracing the full spectrum of the YouTube life, I quickly realized the need for a purpose-built video production set.
The scene captured in these photos is the culmination of my ambitious 2020 project. Drawing inspiration from the evocative vibes of the '80s synthwave revival, I set out to create something truly unique. While it's still a work in progress, I’ve very happy with how my little studio space is coming together.
What makes this space so fun for me is the fact that every element was meticulously crafted by my own hands. From the expansive 100” cherry desk with a live edge to the sprawling 10-person table and work area, from the wall-mounted storage unit to the pipe shelf featuring reclaimed Douglas Fir wood beams I built it all with my own hands. I even built my own video editing PC.
Utilizing the extra time 2020 afforded, I ensured that 2021 kicked off on the right note. While there's still much to be done, the journey ahead fills me with eager anticipation. This self-made studio set stands as a tangible symbol of my commitment to growth, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of a thriving YouTube venture. Thanks for reading.
