When Canon Actually Made Good Looking Cameras
Remember when Canon used to make good looking cameras? With the release of the new Canon EOS R5 Mark II around the corner I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping Canon brings some classic design elements back into their gear. I'm so over their minimalist design. The new RF lens design doesn’t even have the “mm” marking after the focal length. I want my photography equipment to look like photography equipment. As an artist, creator and gear enthusiast I really appreciate gear that has character. Sadly Canon’s new cameras and lenses lack visual character, at least to my eye. I’m not a fan of this futuristic minimalist design Canon has adopted with the new R system.
