Autofocus is snappy and reliable, making it a good choice for both photography and casual video work. While the edges can be a bit soft wide open, the center sharpness is impressive, and stopping down improves overall clarity. The build quality leaves a lot to be desired. The housing is made of plastic and it feels like a cheap plastic lens in the hands. But at this budget friendly price point you get what you pay for. However, when it comes to image quality this lens definitely punches above it’s price point delivering seriously good image quality. It has it’s flaws which we’ll go over in the review but overall this lens is a fantastic choice for those that want to get ultrawide on a budget or are looking for a lightweight vlogging setup.
