Here are some hot shots with the new EOS R. I wanted to test out the camera and see how it would handle a high ISO shoots. I setup the modelling lights on my Alien Bees and put some gels over them to add some color. Overall I would say I’m happy with the results. I used the low light specialists, EF 35mm f1.4 and EF 85mm f1.2 for the shoot. They were mounted to the EOS R with the EF to RF adapter. I shot these images at 1600 ISO. I know that’s not a crazy high ISO but as far as studio shoots go I’m usually shooting no higher than 200 ISO. I also have to say that at 1600 ISO the EOS R looks a lot better than the 5D Mark III looked. I’m really excited by the EOS R. I’m so happy to see Canon get into the mirrorless game.

This second set of shot were taken with the new RF 24-105mm f4 L. Because this lens is slower at f4 I had to bump up the ISO to 3200. The images are darker and have more gain but overall I think I could get away with shooting at ISO 3200 if I needed to.
