Stefania Cima - DARK LIGHT
Have you ever made a bonehead mistake that lead to great learning experience. This is one of my best mistakes. I was shooting the incredibly talented Stefania Cima. She’s also a hip-hop artists as well as being really incredibly good looking. Hahaha. Anyway, I was trying to setup a lighting look I had in my head so I setup my lights and set the setting on my camera ISO 200, F9, 125th and that’s pretty much my go to settings for studio shooting. When I took a test shot and looked down at my camera I was surprised to see these beautiful dark images looking back at me. I was like wow these are great but why is everything so dark. I went through all my setting and checked all the lights and I was stumped. So I figured my camera was busted and put it down only to realize I had a dark Neutral Density mounted to the front of my lens. Oops. But now I know how to shoot these lovely dark images so ya #winning.
