Looking for something different
I’ve been experimenting in Photoshop recently. I wanted to create something visually different. I’ve been motivated by the fact that the glamour scene is starting to look really repetitive. Everyone is shooting the same and editing the same and as an artists I want to differentiate myself from the herd. Sometimes you just want to be different.
It's in my nature to go left when everyone goes right. So why not try and do something a little different. I've been doing a lot of thinking about how to take things in a new direction. My plan is to add an element of fantasy and create a whimsical vibe to my new work.
Experimenting may not always lead to developing a new style that characterizes your portfolio but one thing it will do is expose you to new ideas and who knows what those ideas may eventually lead to. The point being don’t be afraid to experiment with your workflow and create something different from everybody else.
