I recently took a day trip to Creemore Springs Ontario with the famjam. I brought a few vintage lenses along to snap some shots as we ventured through the Canadian Shield. If you ever get the change to explore Ontario in the fall it’s beautiful. I strongly recommend it.

I brought the Canon nFD 17mm f4, Canon nFD 28mm f2.8 and the Canon nFD 85mm f1.2 L. I ended up taking the Canon nFD 70-210 f4 out of my bag to reduce the weight. I had so much fun snapping away with these vintage beauties. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Shooting with vintage lenses has enhanced my love and appreciation for photography. It really takes the experience of shooting to a new level and I strongly recommend it for any photographers out there who want to have a unique experience behind the lens. Below are some of the shots I took on this hike. Can you tell what lens was used to shoot each image? More photos can be seen in my vintage lens sample galleries.

I was really impressed with all three lenses. The nFD 17mm, 28mm and 85mm all had their own unique characteristics. This was my first time using the nFD 85mm f1.2 L and I’m really loving it so far. Unlike modern lenses wide open at f1.2 the lens was soft but stopped down to f1.4 or f2 it was beautiful. Can’t wait to take the 85mm out for another spin. Full reviews of all the lenses coming to my YouTube channel. Subscribe so you don’t miss it.
