Lens Info - Canon nFD 200mm f4

Canon nFD 200mm f4

The Canon NFD 200mm f4 SCC is a notable telephoto lens that was released in 1979. This manual focus lens was part of Canon's NFD (New-Flexible-Design) lens series, which featured improvements in optical design and build quality. The lens offered a fixed focal length of 200mm and a relatively fast f/4 aperture, making it suitable for various telephoto applications such as sports, wildlife photography, and portraiture. Known for its sharpness and solid construction, the Canon NFD 200mm f/4 gained popularity among photographers during its production run. Like all nFD lenses this one was also calibrated to work with film tones. When used on modern mirrorless cameras nFD lenses produce images that have a cooler color temperature. This is what creates that distinct nFD look.

*The copy of the lens that I got has an issue with the mount. It looks like someone took the lens apart to clean the mount and put it back incorrectly. I have to take it apart and put it back together properly.
