AFTERNOON LIGHT - JESSICA IRENE
I really enjoyed this shoot with Jessica Irene. There are two things that I’m really into right now one is natural when the sun is at a low angle and the other is recreating a film look through lightroom presets. I know there are a ton of apps out there that can mimic the film look but I’ve been experimenting with making my own workflow to create a unique look that’s all my own. It’s been a fun process and I feel like I am finally starting to master the craft. I’ll make some videos about my workflow on YouTube at some point and create an online store with presets for Lightroom and Photoshop but that’s a blog for another time. I shot these photos with an EOS R and a combination of the EF 85mm f1.2 and the EF 35mm f1.4. In my opinion those are the two best lenses for natural low light portraits. I really love the mood that the lenses create too although a lot of the character in these shots was added in post. Very happy with these shots. Hope you enjoy them too.
